We hope that we can apply the rule of quality at reasonable prices, to our sundries as well as our plants. To achieve this we tend to select similar chemicals from one or two manufacturers to ensure that you have choice.
We also try to filter out some of the dross and unnecessary items that can fog your decision making. Combine our carefully selected items with our knowledge of them and you should be able to find a solution to any problem. Insecticides, pesticides, fertilizers, deterrents, lawn care, cleaning & everything you need to maintain the plant side of your garden.
All of our chemicals are provided by leading companies in the field of horticulture. Such names as Bayer Garden, Doff, Scotts Miracle Gro, Vitax, Chempak, Jeyes, Rootgrow and Growth Technology.
The biggest of these is Scotts Miracle Gro who have grown over the last decade, swallowing but still producing many of the well known names in horticulture. Evergreen, Levington, Weedol, Pathclear, Roundup, Patio Magic and Garden Choice are all part of the Scotts Miracle Gro family.
Most recently we have been able to increase the range of ecological & organic products. We stock ranges from Ecofective, Neudorff, Origins, Grazers & Vitax, brands that specifically aim to help the organic gardener.
Garden retail like it used to be.
Here at Clockhouse Nursery we pride ourselves in providing reasonably priced plants & the products you need to grow them effectively.
That is all.
So, no need to wade through the tide of unnecessary paraphernalia that you will find in most modern garden centres.
No need to worry about parking either as we have over 150 spaces available.
Not many Garden Centres can boast over ninety years of history, and yes, we have seen many changes over that period. Indeed change will continue as we strive always to supply the best in plants and facilities. One thing, however, will never change:
The core philosophy first introduced by Archibald John Mills way back in 1928 remains - the philosophy that built the company’s reputation, sustains it now, and will guide it in the future:
The best way to keep gardeners happy is to offer them plants of the highest quality, sold at reasonable prices.Read more
