The majority of our ornamental trees are English, container grown, 2m+ sized, well branched specimens. A wide range of varieties are kept in stock with top up deliveries throughout the year. Whether you require a small tree for a petite back yard or something that could grow into a large accent piece, we should be able to accommodate you. Species from Acer and Betula, to Malus and Prunus through to Robinia and Sorbus.
To complement our English grown stock, we also stock a limited selection of Italian grown, large specimens. These are perfect for the gardener or professional who requires some instant height. There is a limit to the size of specimen trees that we stock. We have found, through experience, that anything above 4- 5m is too awkward for our establishment. This size of tree is better sourced from a professional tree nursery which will be better equipped to deal with their handling & delivery.
Our custom built tree sales area has been designed for easy access to the range with plants held in place by velcro straps. Simple for you to extract & replace a specimen during selection process.

Not many Garden Centres can boast over ninety years of history, and yes, we have seen many changes over that period. Indeed change will continue as we strive always to supply the best in plants and facilities. One thing, however, will never change:
The core philosophy first introduced by Archibald John Mills way back in 1928 remains - the philosophy that built the company’s reputation, sustains it now, and will guide it in the future:
The best way to keep gardeners happy is to offer them plants of the highest quality, sold at reasonable prices.Read more
